Open Windows Media Player

If your media player does not display a menu bar,
Right Click any unused area of the upper or lower bars,
Then Click Show Classic Menus

Click Tools >> Options >> File Types Tab >> Make sure the check box by MP3 is checked >> Apply >> OK
